Bamenda, Cameroon — July 9, 2025

eBASE Africa recently held a strategic engagement session with the Northwest Regional Assembly to introduce key initiatives and explore collaborative opportunities for advancing public services through evidence-informed approaches.

At our core, we ensure that evidence reaches those who need it most to improve lives, inform decisions, and transform systems.

The session brought together leadership from both institutions, including eBASE’s Program Managers for Education, Health, and Disability & Inclusion. Participants exchanged insights on:

  • School-based menstrual hygiene management programs implemented across multiple regions
  • Mothers for Mathematics, a pilot initiative using low-tech digital tools to strengthen foundational numeracy through parental involvement
  • Flagship resources such as the Teaching and Learning Toolkit and the Evidence Barometer, developed to support inclusive teaching and research-informed policy design
Discussions with the Commissioner were thoughtful and forward-looking. She emphasized digital inclusion, suggested leveraging existing literacy centres, and encouraged partnerships with local councils to broaden access and impact.

This dialogue reflects eBASE Africa’s ongoing commitment to bringing evidence closer to decision-making spaces. Building on national-level engagements, this regional exchange presents new opportunities for inclusive, locally rooted collaboration. Together with the Northwest Regional Assembly, we are shaping a path where data-driven solutions meet real-world challenges, expanding access, deepening impact, and driving equitable change.
